How do I ask him out?

Well, I don't mean ask him out to be my boyfriend but ask him out to hang out. We're both kind of shy and I can't even seem to find any words to say just in the hallways but when we were in xc I did find a lot to say and I guess we are sort of friends. It's an odd concept and i don't feel like explaining how i know but i'm pretty sure he likes me. My brother is good friend's with his brother (his brother also loves me), they could possibly help me out here. He's a year older than me so I only walk with him in the hall once everyday and he doesn't have a cell phone number/sn/etc (he's like nature boy). I need a good way to do this. I was thinking of recruiting my brother and his brother and figuring it out from there, i don't know. I'M TIRED OF BEING THE THIRD (well techically fifth) WHEEL OF MY GROUP AND I AM NOT GOING TO THIS ALONE AGAIN. What do you think?
