How do you sing like tool/disturbed/mudvayne/korn?

I'm trying to learn how to sing like Maynard from Tool or David Draiman from Disturbed. Does anyone know how to get that harsh/sharp tone out of you're voice, like you're yelling... is there a technique to that?
