Neil Craig's Finals Record?

Well done Louise Maree. Spot on I think. The subject was discussed on Saturday after the Collingwood win, and the general consensus was that you need a game plan for finals foory, but more importantly you need the players that can stand up in September. As an example, they used the example of Mick Malthouse's philosophy of only selecting people that can perform in the hothouse of AFL Finals. They can be the best players going around during the season, but if they can't handle the heat of finals, you have to let them go and find another who can, and develop him within the team. Mick also says that you have to be able to TRUST the players selected to perform in finals, and that trust gets back to believing that you have the right formula when essing the next group on developing players. Sounds good sense to me. Maybe Neil Craig relies too much on players who got them to the finals, and ignores the need to develop players who can perform at finals level.
