How to play Nu-metal guitar?

I don't know or care who knows or even like Nu-Metal (I do) but I would love to add some Nu-Metal into my guitar playing. i'm not saying Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park (They are not Nu-Metal), I'm talking more about Korn and Slipknot. I'm trying to get down grunge and metal, then put Nu-metal into the twist. However, I need help on the characteristics of Nu-Metal, and maybe metal and grunge characteristics would help me too.
