Should i ask this girl out over facebook?

I really like this girl. i told her that like a month ago. she has been in a couple little relationships recently,but about 7 months ago she had a huge breakup and shes still pretty broken about tht. this is the second snow day in a row (connecticut ftw) and we r still doing midterms. the only time i would get to talk to her this week is on facebook. should i ask her out, or just wait until i see her in person and take the risk of her being in a relationship again?
