Christians I got a question?

My pastor said while asking christ to save you its not the words that matter but if its the heart wants to be saved, so can i go just like this Dear Jesus, I know im a sinner and I need your forgiveness, Plz make me what you wanted to be and forgive me, thank you in jesus name amen.
