Why is it that we are so drawn to people with unbearably strong personalities/attitudes a lot of times?

Think about it........ for those of you who like the Judge Mathis show, he is one who will "tell it like it is", no matter whose feelings he may hurt. And other people like Nancy Grace, Judge Judy, Rosie O'Donnell.....even Janice inson, sometimes can come off offensive, but we still like them for some reason. However, if we were face-to-face with these people, I can pretty much guarantee that we will see them in a different perspective. Even in reality, we come in contact with people who REALLY are like the Judge Mathises of the world, you know, bitterly honest and very opinionated (no matter how valid or invalid they may be).........but there's something about their personalities and attitudes that we are drawn to. Why?
